The budget 3/8s and 1/2" are on sale for 50% off making them $39.99 in case you might need one. The salesman told me they will be off sale by tomorrow.

I have a Craftsman 1/2" drive torque wrench a couple of years older than this one. The settings lock broke pretty quickly. It's worked ok so far, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

I'd try another brand if this one goes tango uniform.

As I said in my post, it is Sear's budget line. I bought one for the two builds I'm working on, considering it was only $40, even it it does crap out, I'm not out a lot. If it gets me through the builds, then it was worth the test. Now if that 1 1/16" crowfoot would only arrive, I can make some progress on getting a Noveske NSR installed.

If you're looking for a budget option, check ebay. I purchased a snap on torque wrench for around $60. It has served me very well on quite a few builds.

CDI makes snap on and a couple other manufacturers. Can be found on Amazon and the like for about what these Craftsmen are when they are not on sale.

Thank you, I picked one up. I was leery at $80, but I'll take the risk at $40 since I'm not willing to spend the scratch for a Snap-On at this point.
