Claude Werner brings a lifetime of experience behind the gun to every course he teaches. A retired U.S. Army officer, he served in Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces, and Mechanized Infantry units and commanded a Special Forces A-Team and Bradley Infantry Company.

He was the Chief Instructor at the elite Rogers Shooting School for five years and is currently an NRA Certified Instructor in several disciplines. A seasoned competitor, Werner is a Four Gun Master in the International Defensive Pistol Association and has won numerous sanctioned IDPA championships in the revolver division using snub-nose revolvers.

His training company is Georgia-based Firearms Safety Training LLC. He states that the company’s focus is on “concealed carry with smaller pocket size pistols, home defense training with pistols and shotguns, and enjoyment of the shooting sports, both formal and informal.

Snub Nose Revolver Skills Development
This is a one-day skill building class particular to 5 shot snub revolvers.
It will emphasize marksmanship development, gunhandling skills, and carry techniques.
Learning objectives for the class:
* Make hits with the snub, not just noise.
* Carry the revolver in a low profile way and practice deploying it.
* Reload the revolver efficiently and with confidence.
* Employ the snub in re-enactment of actual life preservation situations.
* Shoot a Concealed Carry qualification course.
* Learn appropriate practice techniques and drills to keep your skills up after the class is over.
Attendees will receive a training certificate sufficient for obtaining a Florida NonResident Concealed Weapon or Firearm License.
Equipment requirements: Eye and ear protection, revolver with strong side belt holster, your preferred speedloader, if you have one; loaners available. Personal comfort items, e.g., hat, sunscreen, etc. Water will be provided at the range.
Ammo requirements: 100 rounds of practice ammo; ammunition that is NOT +P is preferable. 10 rounds of the ammunition you use for self defense purposes.
Limited to 12 students.
