View Full Version : XDs owners: What do you carry in?
Looking for suggestions on a holster for my new XDs 45. IWB only.
Also, have you found any ammo that they don't like? Thanks.
I use Comptac Minotuar MTAC.
A lot of the XDtalk guys (myself included) like the cross breed Supertuck. I have one for my 1911 and for my CZ P01 and carry them both. I don't have any other experience with other IWB holsters so I can't comment if anything is better but the CBST works for me.
I use the IWB UncleMikes #15. Slightly modded on the top
Ankle holster. It's my BUG.

This! Can be worn IWB or OWB.... just have to unscrew regular OWB belt loops and screw on IWB.

I'll second the MTAC, even though its overkill for guns as small as the XDs which are easy enough to conceal with an uncle mike's iwb.

I've shot several xd's and 2 of the 40's did not feed flat nose ammo at all. So I would assume hp's may have been problematic as well.
You just need to shoot it to find out what it likes.
Been using one of these since I bought my XDs last summer........

Not too shabby for the price.

Mine feeds every type of hollow point I have tried, but from an accuracy standpoint,it seems to prefer RANGER 230 gr hp's over ANY of the XTP bullet weights that I have tried.
It absolutely hates CRITICAL DEFENSE rounds.Doesn't so much group as it does pattern on targets.

The xds is a redesign, completely different than the xd and is not made in .40.

That was pretty funny.
I try, I try. :D

Oh come on now. You're not too cool for an XD, are ya?
Should I throw it away & buy a Glock? See then I could use the trashbag to collect all scattered parts after it blows up & another trashbag to wrap over the bloody stump where my hand used to be.;)

My superTuck works great.
Garrett Industries Silent Thunder IWB. But I don't XD anymore, moved on to HK.
But still only use Silent Thunders for IWB holsters. Love them.

When I carried an XD, I used either a crossbreed QwikClip or a Comp-Tac MTAC.
Haven't carried one in 4 years though, transitioned everything to 9mm Glocks.

Same here.
I transfered from Glock to XD about 6 years ago. Thanks for the resposes guys.

Where did that come from? he said xd's which is different from xds...... be careful and read slowly.
My XD likes SPEER 230 GDSP. (.45acp) and it does fine with the xtp bullet too.

Perhaps you are the one with the reading deficiency. This thread is about the xds .45acp. I don't see what bullets your xd, glock, or desert eagle feed well have to do with the original poster asking

Just to clarify, this thread is about the new little single stack XDs 45. Not the old XD or XDM.

CCC still has a couple slots available. I wouldn't pick a big flap of leather for a small pistol with spring and summer on the way.
Don Hume, JIT slide holster. Very comfortable and concealable.
Thanks for the responses guys. I ordered the Crossbreed.
