This is a painted on finish not water transfer. I used DuraCoat in custom mixed colors and templates that I made offf my drag bag.

impressive my friend
I'm usually not a fan of 100% camo finish but I REALLY like this one. That is a sweet setup!

Great job. How long did it take?
If you can figure out what it says, don't worry about the spelling :D Tapatalk+Autocorrect

That looks great for a home brew! I'm thinking of finally doing something on a couple of mine and I sure wish I had your skills. :o
That looks great. Can you show some pictures against another back ground?
Well done. That looks fantastic.

LOVE it.
That's a professional job for sure. Nice.
Fantastic job. I would love to know how you did it. Any chance of a tutorial post sometime? Really, really nice.
Wow, well done. Thats a classy AK there!
Very, very nicely done. CONGRATS!
Absolutely beautiful! What suppressor is that?
Great paint, can you give us a rundown on the painting procedure. Did you make stencils etc?

Thanks for the kind words. I was a little hesitant to camo her, I normally favor a more traditional look. But I wanted this to match my gear and my 700. She turned out ok. Did her after hours when I had shut down the shop so she was a little rushed.
All and all there is probably 14 to 16 hrs labor in the rifle counting prep and applicartion (not counting the cure time between each color, disassembly, and reassembly).
I had to custom mix all the colors. Made the stenciles myself out of vinyl masking, the kits are close but not spot on. On a few of the stenciles I went back and pulled up the edges so they would be fuzzy and not crisp edges. I went light to dark on the color application and used an airbrush to fade the greens and browns into each other. There are 7 different colors not counting the faded areas.
Looks damn good.
A tutorial would be appreciated.

Is this something you do part time or just as a hobby? I have an SLR-106UR and a 106FR I would love to have this finish on one or the other...not sure which at this point! Is this something you'd be willing to do or not?
thanks
