I think there is a real schism on the left between liberals and progressives. Progressives have been hiding behind the liberal name for the past 70 years till they wore it out on the 80s. These 'big govt' liberals (really progressives) are not the govt suspicious liberals of the past- they are collectivists.

True Liberals I think are starting to object to the Progressive platform .

Wow. I'm in Sacramento right now, and I haven't read the paper here in years.

Sac Bee sucks. My mother gets it and the only thing of interest and the only thing I read when I stop in at her house is "Our Region."

But you're not missing a damn thing if you don't read it.

Frangible bullets make guns safer and should actually be encouraged.
