Hey Gents, maybe some of you guys can help me out. With AR parts being scarce lately, I jumped on a BCM 14.5 Mid regular profile barrel while they had them in stock. So I was pretty happy not only to get that opportunity but I was also happy for everyone else that things even on the slightest note, could possibly be easing up for all of us who happen to be looking for parts. Two days after I placed my order, the 14.5 Mid Light Weights came online for sale. I kinda kicked myself in the ass for not waiting but at the time of purchase, who knew that in a mere 48 hrs, the LW's would be available. My question is, and yes I've used the search, is there that much of a weight difference between the two to be concerned? I cant seem to find the specs on the two barrels. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Lee

I can't find the exact specs, but have read that its a few oz's... 3-5 I believe.

I felt a DD LW 16" carbine with the 12" modular and it was very lightweight. I think more so than my BCM Gov profile, with DD LITE handguards.

There is a difference. But you could make it heavier.

Thanks for the info guys. I was figuring in the 3-4 oz range but I wasn't sure.
