Picked up a 1000 rd box at Wally this am for 46 plus tax Winchester m22 40 grain. Anyone shot this stuff yet ?

I've shot it before. It's OK stuff for plinking. $46/1000, not cheap anymore, but with the craziness going on, not too bad a deal (at least you found some!).

I have shot some.... it may be a little cleaner than my usual 22LR ammo. It is fine for range ammo.

That is a GREAT price... one of my dealers (the only one locally that has it in stock) has 500 round bricks for $80.

Thanks for replies. I've been spoiled by cci minimags for the past 8 years of 22lr shooting. Bought a Remington bulk pack to shoot while saving a little inventory of cci and was disappointed with the inconsistentancy of the ammo. Gonna try this m22 out this weekend

CCI has spoiled many of us. The M22 is comparable in performance to Remington, but these days you have to take what you can get. I'd save CCI for more serious shooting (competition, hunting) as well. M22, Rem. and all the others will punch holes in paper. They just don't group as tight as CCI.

No complaints at all after 500 rounds through my SR22 pistol and a Ceiner Arms AR15 .22 conversion. Far more reliable than bulk-pack Remington ammunition, IME.

Enjoy it.

I've got exactly 3000 rounds of M22 through my S&W MP15-22 it's good ammo I had about a dozen failures to feed/fire total. I prefer to use Blazer 40g RN though, same performance and cheaper by far. I paid $200 for 5000 rounds for the Blazer last time I bought a couple cases locally. It was even cheaper by $20 the time prior when I could get it online.

Any ammo you can find right now is good ammo. I've ran some thru a 22/45 and a M&P .22 pistol with no issues. Decent but not great accuracy. I prefer the Federal Automatch.
