to Texas.

I have a friend I met in law school in Hawaii that was crazy about Texas. This friend, although we barely talked in real life, turned my life around regarding my views towards firearms and politics. This was before I went active duty of course.

Anyway, before I was stationed in Oklahoma, I never knew how awesome Texas was. I thought she was just weird and nostalgic. But now I understand. Texas is like what the provinces thought of Rome back in the old days.

Which I guess means I'm in Gaul, the less-developed barbaric area to the north of Rome. Less-developed, but still more awesome than Britannia.

Anyway, Happy Independence Day to Texas!

If St. Anselm had ever met a Texan (and then actually gone to Texas), he would have never proposed his ontological argument.

Be nice. :p

Not hollaring or yelling. But there are many of us Texans that speak nicely of other states. I'm one of those folks.

We are going to celebrate today by murdering cows, grilling them over wood to increase our carbon footprint, and then drinking malted grain beverages.

And anybody in Gaul that wishes to come down for some mead, I'll buy you one. Dave, be sure and bring some elk jerky from Montana to trade!

Sounds good, then we can fondle all of our standard capacity magazines as we watch The Alamo (either the 1960 or the 2004 version will do).

From Big Bend to the Red River...and even the Hippies in Austin, Texas is the best.

Mountains, Plains, Forest, Rolling hills, Coast, Islands, desert, Texas has it all...(including the best looking women).

Cant wait to get back to the homeland in April, Im jones'in for some Whataburger and a Lonestar. Oh and GOOD mexican food. And oddly enough, people who talk normally. I feel like Im living in Canuk land or something.....it is not pronounced Coloraaaaaaaaaado lol.

And yes Happy Independence day, long live the Republic.

Yeah back when I USE to spend my hard earned money on vacations to snowboard in CO I was always dumbfounded that "Mexican Food" joints charged for chips and salsa (well what they pass as salsa anyway) and beverage refills. The wife and I could not go too long without our Tex-Mex. Hell, when we were on our honeymoon in HI we even found a place (Cholos (http://www.cholos.mx/)) on The North Shore of Oʻahu. :D

I was born in Texas, then my dad was stationed to Kalifornia so now I am here :(

While filling out the paper work for my first AR the person was reading over my paperwork and was like "You were born in Texas, why would you want to move here??"
