Hey guys-

So I finally got my tirant 45 back. I'm low on funds so instead of buying the real gun I want(USP Tac), I wanna run it on my glock 19 gen 4. A few Q's:

1) will a Lonewolf barrel and 1/2 x 28 piston be all I need?
2) anyone ever try this on a gen 4?
3) would this set up with proper 9mm ammo be quieter than actually using a .45?

Any help much appreciated.

1. Yes

2. Yes, I have a similar setup with an OEM 19 threaded barrel and 13.5 x 1LH piston.

3. Here you go. (http://www.silencerforum.com/forum/showthread.php/718-AAC-Ti-Rant-45-SOUND-TESTED-on-45-40-9mm-22-hosts!!)

Thanks for the reply. I thought the factory threaded barell didn't work well in gen 4s? If so... I'm totally getting it.

About a year ago I was able to run my OEM Glock threaded barrel through a demo Gen 4 G19 that Glock reps brought down with several other models.

Several hundred rounds through the set up with a SWR Trident 9 and there were zero function problems.

The rep did tell me that the barrel would fit and function fine before he let me run the test though. So I wasn't anticipating any problems.

I got OEM threaded barrels on all my Glocks. (I got three Gen4 G19s.) And I carry one with a threaded barrel. 12k rounds through it. No problems.
