I don't know how to setup a poll so could I have recommendations please? Question is, what would you consider the best drop in quad rail for the Colt 6920?

Troy Enhanced Drop-In BattleRail – 7″ CAR/M4 $149.00
Daniel Defence EZ CAR™ RAIL 7.0, CARBINE $169.00
Midwest Industries Gen2 Drop-In Two Piece Handguard, Carbine Length $124.95
KAC RAS Seconds. Slight Blemishes. $150.00

Thank You!

I've been a long time fan of the KAC RAS.

They're cheap enough, easy to install, solid, have a slim profile and lock up tightly and the rails are always in spec. Not to mention that they're probably the most widely used and proven rail in the world.

They don't free float the barrel but I haven't found it to be an issue. As long as you're aware of what pressure you may be inducing on the barrel, it's pretty easy to mitigate POI shift through technique.

Grant has factory blemish KAC M4 RAS's in stock right now for $140, and that's just about impossible to beat.

He'll, I'm thinking about ordering one for a future M4A1 clone build I would like to do.

I would go with the KAC RAS as well. I have used quite a few times and the only reason I swapped them was for free floating rails. Actually, 2 weeks ago I picked up colt 6920 SOCOM with the KAC RAS and plan on leaving it as is.

All of these rails are made by great companies, Check out the weight of each because that is a big factor IMO for handgaurds. KAC is probably the favorite though even though i free float all of my AR's

I had the DD EZ Car 7.0 , I wanted a free float on my 6920. so. I then upgraded to an Omega X FSP.. Had my gunshop install them.

Both work as advertised.

Why do you want a rail?

And a Harris Bipod

As mentioned I have an Elzetta light, mount and a Tango Down foregrip
with a tape switch mounted to it. Plenty of reasons for a rail

I'll be the one to play devils advocate here.

You could achieve all of this using Magpul MOE handguards.

However, I have made the jump from MOE hand guards to a Daniel Defense M4 Rail FSPM. Great quality. Slim profile.

Of the rails listed above I'd choose either the Daniel Defense CAR or the Knights Armament RAS.

You could put it all on a MOE, but it's half-assed, weighs more and sucks in general. The RAS is a real answer.

KAC RAS. No need to look any further.

I would like to thank everyone for taking their time to reply to my post!! I have decided to go with the KAC RAS blemishes guards. Placed an order with G and R Tactical (Grant).

I presume it's a budget thing, but why when you have a 6920, would you not consider a FSP cutout? This with an x300 would seem like a great setup to me.

No argument there.

There's a reason I rock a DD rail now.

Are any of the FSP cutout rails smooth sided like a lot of new designs or are they all the basic full length 4 sided rail design like the two pictured above. I think there is a market for FSP smooth rail if not already out there.

LMAO!!

OP, any one of those mentioned is a great answer. If you can get your hands on one, do it. It is your hands that are going to be all over that rifle. We all have what we feel is our best pick for what it is we do.

Given the choices, I would do the DD.

Have a KAS, but prefer the M1Gen2...
