I decided to update the databook pages I use, and turn them out in the wild. Nothing groundbreaking here, but I've built a few pages that do their job exceedingly well. If you have any criticisms or need some help on exactly how to use them... just ask.

I'll be doing more, as well as reference pages as time goes on. Check our library for updates:

1) Cut in half
2) Hole punch
3) Put in databook
4) Use

Thank you. The rifle logs I have for my bolt guns were purchased. Your pages look just like the pages in my logs. Now I can photocopy your log sheets and spend the money on ammuntion and beer. :D

I bought my pages when I was first starting out. Could never find any that were setup exactly how I liked. Had to make my own.

nice!

in 2005, i had 50 spiral bound books of these pages made by the local university print shop for $1 each.

if i were doing it over again, i would do it slightly different.

instruction sheet, and i also inserted a blank for sketches of target knobs at zero and other notes about the rifle

3x pages for load data, so i only had to write down each load once, then reference it by number (e.g. load 12) on the shooting pages
http://precisionmultigun.com/pics/barrellogload1.jpg

and about 50x shooting pages in the book

this lets me record group size and distance from POA, whether each shot was a clean or cold bore shot, the wind for that shot, the light for that shot, a prediction and result for that shot, and finally, chronograph results for that round.

the tiny circles are clock faces. i would write a number like .5" next to it and make a mark on the circle to indicate the direction from intended POA.

at the bottom of each page i tracked the total number of rounds on the barrel and the total times i'd cleaned it.

what i would do different would be to move the "load" line up to be a column on a group line. i.e. i didn't change loads during a group, so never needed to write that info down more than once per group.

Thanks for the updates! I have been using the templates from your blog, and even bought a laminating machine as suggested. It's worked out well.
