View Full Version : M&P shield holster?

I tried searching but found nothing on this. I may not have searched hard enough but I tried. I'm about to pick up a shield in 9mm and I'm searching for a holster. I plan to order a raven but would like other options as well. I need something that isn't bulky and is able to reholster the pistol one handed. I'd also like something that is fairly easy to get. I'd like to carry it soon while I wait on the raven. What are my options?

ETA: if this needs to be in tactical gear I understand. Missed that whole section.

Mike at Coffman Concealment made me a really nice holster for a Shield. I prefer OWB and the one he made me was excellent. I am quite certain he would make an equally nice IWB holster too.

Thanks I'll look into them. I bought it for summer carry since it gets so hot here but I figure it should be small enough to carry owb or iwb.

I say that but they could be running faster by now. I bought one last year and it took exactly 30 days.

I got mine the week they started making them available to order. They may have had some stock on hand before they started letting people order, but I would still just wait for the Raven. Buy once, cry once.

The Shield has been on Quick-Ship since we introduced it. We can only guarantee 30 days, but as some of our customers have outlined here, they usually ship quicker than that.

http://rkbaholsters.com/ makes a rig that's pretty similar to Raven's. The owner, Stephen, is also a member here.

Lots of good options out there these days.

So far I have been using raven and the Comp-tac MTAC. Both are great holsters and I believe the comp-tac ships fairly quick.

I have an INCOG on order to test out for the shield as well.

What I really want is a left hand all leather tuckable IWB.

Until then the MTAC works great. I just prefer leather to plastic.

You cannot go wrong with Raven concealment, and you will not be waiting very long to get it.

It's coming. I don't know a lead time on it yet, but it is on our list to cut steel for.

I have had good luck with the Desantis Intruder IWB holster that I ordered from Midway. It is similiar to a crossbreed holster and I received mine in 3 days from Midway. Plus it cost only about $50.

Pretty sure he was referencing their coming soon (hopefully) VG2 for the m&p. At SHOT, they said a couple weeks.

N82Tactical Holster is the best CCW holster on the market IMO. More comfortable than my Crossbreed, and that's saying something.

Oh I know it's worth it and I plan to order one soon. Just looking for something to use while I wait and it never hurts to have multiple holsters for each pistol.
