After doing extensive research here and a few other places i knew i either wanted a Colt or LMT. I put my galil up for sale and ended trading it for a 6920 ive had it since friday and hadnt got to shoot it yet, because i had Training all weekend and went back to work today. Ill try to get some pics up tomm.

Back when I bought my first AR (1973), there was only one make and model available, the Colt SP1. My we've come a long way baby! :D

Your the first guy to mention a Galil in some time around here. Haven't even seen a photo of one in a year or so, probably because the Israelis switched to M4s.

Can't go wrong with the 6920 as you apparently know by now. Congrats. Is it new?

I had forgotten how much they look like AK's. Seems like a similar gas system, amongst other things. Would love to own one, but certainly not because it looks like an AK. Won't own one of them anymore.

LOL it is pretty much a milled AK. with a few upgrades. same gas piston system, just in 5.56 I own about 6 Ak's and have sold 3 in the last month plus traded the galil

congrats on the 6920. Too bad you had to get rid of the Galil to do it, but I'm sure you'll be pleased.

why get rid of the Galil it would make a good truck gun plus you can never have to many rifles

because im a cop and dont have unlimited funds, plus that galil was far too nice for a truck gun, It was built by a well known builder as his own and he done quite a few touches that set it apart from a century or ORF. Like the 2 tone guncote to match an original galil and a new IMI chrome lined barrel instead of the GM us made one. Plus it was heavy and it just didnt fit me as well as i thought it would, I feel more comfortable with a AR or regular style AK. I would have loved to keep it, but i needed to get my butt in gear and get an AR just in case some legislation gets thru and didnt have the funds to just go buy it. I actually had planned on building a LMT until the guy offer me the 6920 in trade. I have another AR at work but i wanted my own.
