1/2 x 28 is the industry standard for muzzle threading.

5.56 ARs have a thread pitch of 1/2x28 on the barrel.

Thank you guys for your help. Any recomendations as to which company to go with as far as the muzzle brake?

Instead of buying a brake I would use the cash towards replacing the vital parts of the rifle with quality manufacture parts. Or a different upper altogether.

Have you ever shot with a brake? There pretty annoying.

And as far as suggestions, just search. There is tons of info on all available brakes

If you want the advantages of a brake without as much noise, concussion, and flash the Griffin Armament M4SDII Flash Comp, the Battle Comp, and the BCM Gunfighter Comp are all excellent choices. Prices fun from $90-$160.

Check out the sticky knowedge base threads for some perspective first.
If you are absolutely set on a brake at this time, I'd go with something quality but affordable from Rainier Arms, http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2841
At 1.4oz it is super lightweight and it doesn't add much length to a 16" barrel, all for $50.
