I'm in. You don't see subgun/pistol classes run by top-tier trainers like Larry come along every day - wouldn't miss it.

Sign-up form & deposit are in the mail to Paul and Larry. . .

Due to the high number of requests for another carbine I this class is going to be opened up for standard 5.56mm, 5.45x39mm , and 7.62x39mm carbines, SBR's (Krinks, Super-short AR's, etc), pistol caliber carbines, as well as the original subguns. Now you can swap back & forth between them during the class. If you missed out on the January Level I carbine class this is your chance.

It will be the same material as a Level I carbine, but the personal instruction will be tailored to each persons weapon.

IMO: This will be the funniest class of the year.

I will be editing the 1st post in the thread to reflect these changes in the morning.

I would like to welcome M4C member koolaid into the class. He is the 1st guy to take advantage of Vickers Tactical opening this class up to standard carbines and/or rifles.

While this class may be open to many different types of weapons each student is going to receive specific individual instruction on the weapon they have chosen to shoot.

Think of it as a Level I class were you can bring any carbine, rifle, pistol caliber carbine, or subgun. Personally I think this class is going to be a blast with everyone having the opportunity to bring and shoot many different weapons. Most classes are very weapon specific but this class is going to be different.

It is also the last Vickers Tactical Level 1 class in South, Hill for 2008 (non-pistol)

Gonna bring the Sterling Mk. 4 and probably a couple other toys.

As the price of 5.56mm keeps going up and up, this is a great opportunity to be able to train with much less expensive 9mm ammo.

Gents

I plan on bringing an MP5 for the class and anyone who has not shot one can try mine - the most famous weapon that HK has ever made it was and still is the world standard in 9mm SMG's

looking forward to it - I may bring some other toys also

cheers

I think getting the chance to check out & shoot the FN SCAR-L & SCAR-H might just be the equipment side high-light of this class. Although LAV and several students will be bringing some cool NFA weapons also.

While learning is the 1st priority it's always nice to have some cool stuff around. :)

For anyone attending the class.....my friend Sam will be bringing more than a few toys to play with, so if you want to bring some extra ammo, he's very open to letting people run them and just get some trigger time on them.

Quick list:

Soviet PPSh-41 in 7.62x25mm
Czech vz-26 in 7.62x25mm
Thompson M1928A1 in .45 ACP
German MP-40 in 9mm Para
HK MP5 in 9mm Para
UZI in 9mm Para
Sterling L2A3 in 9mm Para

If you want to get some trigger time on one, or even run one in the class (besides the MP5), just bring the ammo, and try to get non corrosive for the 7.62x25mm.

Nothing like Templar's, but I will be bringing my FS Uzi and a Mini Uzi - both in 9mm. Dont have enough .45 on hand to handle the FS Uzi .45 conversion, but that too does rock.

PPSh-41.......

Beautiful little subgun. With the 71 rd. drum in it, you can easily imagine house to house in Stalingrad or Berlin.....

And that's a good thing! :D

Panzerschreck and I will be coming down Friday evening. We tried to use my HK sight adjustment tool, but mine's Greek, and aparently a real German MP5 doesn't want to associate with the Greeks......

Great fun was had by all at this class. Some short bussing and window licking by a few of us 1st timers, but overall a very informative class. Also a very big thank you to Sam for bringing and letting us shoot his nice collection of toys, also a big thank you to FN for bringing the SCAR-L and SCAR-H and letting us try those out as well (reminder to self, must have SCAR-L). A big thank you also goes out to LAV for teaching this class, I think he had as much fun as the rest of us.

Now on another note, did anybody get home and find an extra camera and video recorder mixed in with there gear? Riverguides,(Jim S), can't find his and was wondering if somebody had picked them up by accident. If you find them, please give him a call at 804-921-9697(cell phone).

Again a big thank you to everbody that put this together and I hope to be able to take some other classes with you in the future.

Great time indeed!

Thanks again Brett and Sam - awesome. As Larry said, I am now a true American having fired a Thompson.

Larry - thanks for letting "rock and roll" on the moving drills. Full Auto is completely fun with subguns, but definately not the same or precise as well placed carbine shots.

Looks forward to seeing you guys again!
