As luck would have, I had planned to use a chunk this tax return to buy my first rifle, long before Newtown. With that said, I managed to piece this rifle together with exactly what I wanted, without paying gouged prices for anything thanks to the "Where to get it thread" here and being on a billion email lists. I'm in the Coast Guard and I'm waiting to go to Gunners Mate school, so building this rifle was a good learning experience for me. Couldn't be happier with the finished product, quality of the parts, and the perfect balance.

Parts list:
Seekins Precision SP15 Forged Lower
Seekins Precision Trigger Guard
Magpul MIAD Grip
Palmetto State Armory LPK w/o fire control group
<3 <3 Geissele Super Dynamic Combat Trigger <3 <3
Magpul UBR stock
VLTOR Carbine Spring
Spikes Tactical ST-T2 Buffer
BCM BFH 16in Mid-length Upper
BCM Low-Profile Gas Black
BCM F/A Bolt Carrier Group
Fortis Mfg. REV 12in Free Float Rail
Rainier Arms Raptor Ambi Charging Handle
Magpul MBUS2 Front & Rear
Noveske K9 Barricade Support
Magpul BAD Lever
Magpul AFG2
Seekins Precision Magazine Release

I have a BAD-ASS selector switch on its way and I still need to buy the Magpul UBR Aluminum Strike Plate, Magpul MS4 Sling, and a shit-ton of ammo....I'll eventually get a decent optic but not until i get the back ups dead nuts dialed in. Let me know what you guys think! :dirol:

I love it. I was shocked at how light it is. 9 something ounces. A lot of people were worried about the side slots being too big and burning your thumb but its def not an issue.

That REV rail definitely has my attention, and I've been thinking about using it on a 18" or 20" barrel precision build I've got in mind to counter the weight of the barrel.

Of course, the new smooth-sided Centurion rail is high on my list as well.

Looks good!

Very nice rifle!

Ya didn't tell us why you picked the parts ya picked and didn't tell us what you expect the rifle to do. This ain't facebook ya know!

You guys should be be more careful- dropping the F-Bomb and posting those eye-searingly ugly pictures in the same thread is a whole new level of offensive material- shock and gaah!

It was designed by/for the Noveske Shooting Team. The support makes for faster follow up shots when shooting from behind a barricade as you don't have to re adjust your grip after each shot. Plus it looks tacti-cool lol :dirol:

Nice choice on the parts. The only thing I would change is canning the ST-2 buffer and putting in a regular H2, or even better installing a complete A5 kit.

Any particular reason? I got the st t2 because I want a soft shooting rifle, so I figured I'd give it a try.

The T2 is a solution for a non-problem... buffer weight rattle. It doesn't work as well as a real buffer with real solid tungsten weights.

Vulwarpin blog or whatever filmed high speed footage of it. It wasn't horrendous, but there's a little more bolt bounce with the T2 compared to a real buffer.

You don't need to rush off and replace it, though.

Honestly, I would sit on it until you can afford the A5 system and then just install that whole set up. I ran the T2 for a while, and the A5 is not only just a bit softer feeling, it also is significantly smoother.

Like I said, its no hurry.

The T2 will run just fine until an A5 becomes available. The complaints about bolt bounce and such don't matter as much at semi-auto firing schedules.

Yeh I'm sure it will run smooth as it sits now. With that I am more than open to try out other setups. Thinking about starting a build for my wife, but we will see how she takes to it afteri take her to the range. She was petrified of handguns before I took her to the range, now she's an every day conceal carry MILF lol.

Dont know whats worse, having a delton, or wasting money on wilson products. Eek.

Also just because a bcg is hp/mpi tested it doesnt automatically make it good. IMO that is just a bare minimum requirement.

FYI The front "stop" on an afg houses the front nut and bolt for holding the thing together. Cut it off and the thing will eventually start to bow open at the seam, regardless of the main bolt which clamps things together in the middle being there to hold it tight.
