Looks interesting. I really like Sig rifles and 7,62x39 is dirt cheap over here!

One of the Swiss guys on lightfighter was talking about that rifle a couple weeks ago. He said they were getting great accuracy out of it.

I would love to have that one and the 751. I ran my last 2 gun matches with my 551-2 SP SWAT and shot both matches clean. I think the 7.62x39 would do well if M&M could do an import run.

Sweet! I would buy one if imported.

Are these all Swiss made? I wonder if they have any of the same problems the US versions have

Hello from Switzerland. I have seen the rilfe too. SAN had it on display at the Luzern gun show. It’s probably too early to speak of “problems”. Non have been sold to the public yet. What’s been shown was a prototype/pre-production series rifle with S/N 0007. Some details are different from the standard 553. It looked like SAN took the best of two worlds and combined the manufacturing quality of the 55x series with optimized features from the 556. SAN does not do very well for the moment and the probably want to enter the market in Eastern Europe and Africa with a more affortable product for governments that already have an inventory/production of 7.62x39.

Sadly, I abandonded 7.62x39 in favor of 5.45x39 and got rid of everything 7.62x39 related.

I wish they would make this in 5.45. I also noticed in the photo there were two different barrel lengths. I thought the one with the slightly longer barrel was a good middle ground.

I'd also like to see a VZ58 in 5.45.

You can always make your own SIG 545.. http://aftermathgunclub.com/?p=1017
