I spent some time trying to find a partucular post or artical on the Huffington post

I noticed that one of my you-tube videos got a few hits from there

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb81lL3Vm7E

Time frame would have been this week

I would like to see the context of the page it was in and I cant find it.

Thanks if you can help

I'm not sure how the Youtube site-tracking process works, but it may be that someone watches an imbedded Youtube video on Huffpo, and then clicks on related videos and winds up at yours eventually.

I would say that there's a good probability that your video is somehow being seen after watching the Youtube video imbedded at the bottom of this story, which went up on the 25th. Just a guess, but I think it's a good one. And it's somewhat testable, because if you're getting Huffpo hits from before the 25th, then this hypothesis is falsified.

That makes a lot of sense. I have tested it as you suggest and the hypothesis is accepted. It explains the observed phenomena as well as explaining other, unrelated phenomena (similar incidents w/ other videos.)

It would seem we have a working theory on the way that the youtube reporting process works.

Thank You
