Ordered one just to have right when it was posted on Noveske's and Magpul's facebook. It didn't say "shipped in 1-2 weeks" when I ordered so I'm assuming they've already sold out of their first batch.

I got a little carried away but my dealings with noveske and Sheri have been great the last two years. I'm also fortunate to own a afghan upper and a factory Noveske MK18 SBR

Well I was perusing the Gun broker and already saw one for sale there (with a bid) for $85. I got one mag for my son to hold on to since we are now in occupied territory (CO). Glad to help seeing how Sherry/ John hooked me up on the SBR Program.

I haven't been around that long in the AR world, but it did not take long for the Noveske family to make an impact on my life. Thank you guys for doing this and what a great cause. I am happy to contribute.

Magpul once again showing what a stand up company you run.

Now if a memorial KX3 is ever released, you can count me in for one or 2 of them as well. ;)

Probably cannot get these at this point, living in the formerly free state of CO. However, if I had one, I'd treat it like a favorite pair of skis. I would ride it til it broke, fix it til it broke beyond repair, then proudly mount it on my wall.

What you where told was some what correct, but you are implying it in the wrong context. It is illegal to assemble standard magazines if you do not own them before the 2000 CA ban. It is legal to own and use rebuild kits to replace damaged or worn out parts. Pmags and USGI mags consist of four parts; body, follower, spring and base plate. You can use any of those parts to repair your existing magazines. A fully assembled Pmag can completely replace magazine of the same style (No pmag 20rnd 308s replacing USGI 20rnd 5.56). It is completely legal for anyone to own the parts in a disassembled configuration, regardless if they own "pre ban" mags or not. The burden is on the State to produce evidence of manufacturing standard cap. mags, which they only have a three year window from date of purchase for a conviction.

If some one is going to jail over a standard magazine in CA, they got way bigger problems.

Only reason I can think of is if they're in a ban state. An individual seller might ship them there, either not knowing or not caring. Otherwise there's no reason to pay more!

I live in a ban state. I put the shipping address as midwestpx and he is pinning them for me and its still less than $85. Who knows though. People are weird

My Johnny Mag came in the mail today, one day earlier than scheduled. It arrived in factory pmag packaging. The engraving is spotless and the Johnny Mag mates perfectly with my recently acquired N4 lower. RIP John Noveske.

I could have driven from here to Grants Pass and been back and still had three days to spare for as long as it took to get here but. Also, I've never had UPS transfer an order over to USPS for them to deliver it so that was definitely a first. try to keep it in perspective. it's more or less a token for a donation.
(its a ****ing cool token i agree dont get me wrong.)

in the end it doesn't really matter if they sold them to people that wanted to help them out or if they sold them to people that wanted to look cool with a johnnymag. goal accomplished either way.

...but personally i'd rather people get their uppers and rifles asap and just let my johnnymag come when it comes. they'll ship it eventually.

I really don't think you will find too many people on here that bought 1 to be "cool" :dirol: maybe 2 now your talking 1 for the safe and 1 to keep you ****ing safe.. I plan to get mine dirty, very dirty.

Stick I know you and many on here knew/know John & family well and I'm sure it's bittersweet and hard for you guys and for some on M4, the mags serve much more then just a Black mag, to some its a donation, to some a novelty but to most they serve as a memory, but to all of us it was money well spent and what better place to honor him then on something he honored and loved the AR-15. Universally we can all agree that we lost one of the best in the industry. I wish I did know him, he seemed like the kind of guy that you would want around to drink a few beers and shoot the shit and he also seemed like the type of guy that you'd want around if/when shit hits the fan watching your back.
I'm sure John is happy to be sitting on thousands of our mags encased by 30 rounds of don't **** with me
I'm sure as shit happy to have him there.

My order was canceled to, have a California billing address. Got a friend out-of-state to order mine. Now for the month wait again. Will not be able to use them. Family being deployed overseas being of June.

Just a heads up for everyone. I had placed my order on Mar 28th as soon as they were announced and I hadn't heard anything yet. Apparently there system was completely overloaded and a lot of orders went through with order numbers but as blank orders. Got mins. Had to get it pinned for NJ. Bought some extras to keep unpinned out of state. For those that are from ban states or that don't have a billing address outside of a ban state I went to giftcards.com and sent myself an e-visa with our out of state address as my address. They email you a credit card number and the billing address is whatever you put in. Since I have a place out of state, this was a no brainer. Obviously this advice isn't meant to use for anyone looking to smuggle mags back into a banned state. Use advice at your own risk. I am not a lawyer. Etc
