Just wanted to post something after lurking for some time. This is my second complete build. It started off when I found a couple Anderson lowers for cheap (ban scare cheap). After bringing them home, I promptly installed a Stag LPK into one of them, and decided I didnt like the way it mated to a no name upper I had laying around. There was too much side to side slop where the front pivot points meet. After making some adjustments with a brass hammer, I got the slop to go away, but in turn created alot of unsightly dings on my new receiever. I was also dissatisfied with the feel of the Stag controls, as I found the safety selector, and bolt stop rough and gritty. So... I decided to start over, and made a trip to the local AR shop, where I swapped out my no name upper for an Aero Precision. After that I decided I needed an Aero lower to match it, so out came the credit card. I ended up leaving with two new Aero receivers, and a bag full of DPMS parts (minus the fire control group, and trigger guard). Once I got home I put all my new parts, (and some other misc. bits) into a brown paper bag. After 5 minutes of vigorous shaking.... PRESTO!!! I ended up with what you see here:

-Aero Precision upper/lower
-DPMS lpk (minus trigger group, and trigger guard)
-Spike's Ni-boron trigger group (I think this is a ALG rebadged)
-Mag Pul enhanced trigger guard
-Ergo grip (love the way this feels)
-Norgon ambi mag release
-KNS anti rotation pins
-VLTOR buffer tube
-VLTOR IMOD
-H2 buffer
-Noveske QD end plate
-Blackhole 16" barrel 1:8 twist, poly rifling (really easy to clean)
-15" Troy rail. (As an exeriment, I wanted to push the front sight as far forward as possible)
-Mag Pul BUIS
-Smith Vortex flash hider

I fired a few test rounds last night, and everything functions perfectly. I might ditch the Norgon ambi mage release, and swap in a shorter rail, but for now I'm happy with the way things ended up. :)

So the sight way out front is ok? I have an upper coming with the same rail.

I haven't had a chance to sight it in yet, but I feel I had a very cllear sight picture. I plan on swapping the Magpul BUIS out for a set of Troy folding sights, with an HK style front sight. Once I get that sighted in, I will report back.

Nice stick! Now you need to throw that credit card at a battle ready optic and a few cases of green tipped ammo...:p
