I just installed the FFS in my M&P, followed the video, and function tested everything. It appeared to work fine. Went to the range and placed a round under battery, depressed the trigger, heard the striker click, but no joy. Removed the round and it had a very light striker mark. The handgun worked fine before, so I assumed it was stacking tolerances, or something I missed. I did a thorough check and noticed that upon pulling the trigger, and the striker releasing, there was a tiny amount of forward travel in the slide.
I had my friend with me, and he has completed the S&W armorers course through Cabela's, and he had his M&P 9mm with him. We decided to isolate the issue in either the slide or the trigger area, so we swapped slides...BOTH GUNS WORKED! We switched back, and mine again failed to fire with really light striker hits. Can anyone provide any clue as to what this may be?
