Hello,
I have a friend who says he has a Chinese Norinco made Tokarev pistol in 9mm Para caliber. Can this be? I was not aware it was ever made in this caliber.
Thanks for any info.

Yup. There is a Chinese version floating around.
FYI, there are also BRAND NEW Zastava Tokarevs that come in both 7.62x25 and 9mm.
Yep there are Chinese Toks in 9 and there is even a double stack version.
Zastava now imports their own Tok in 9 and they had a M88 which was a commander sized Tok 9mm. They even have a rare 10mm version of the full size that was never imported.

Yep. I even have one one of the fabled norinco 9mm double stack tokarev pistols. It is the 213a model. The 213 was a 9mm single stack. Unlike the ones that had conversions to allow them to fire both 7.62 tok and 9mm, the norincos were designed from the beginning as a 9mm handgun. The hi cap 213a versions are kind of scarce and hard to find mags for. But if anyone has one, you can make a browning hi power mag work with a little modification.
That's pretty neat. Where do you find something like that?

I got lucky. I was in the local army surplus store before it closed and found it. All matching numbers including the mag.
