In an attempt to fight off the urge to purchase one or more of the very nice 1911's currently for sale in the Member Sales section of this forum, I went against my better judgment and decided it was time to give one of my own 1911's a face lift.
Well. I decided it was time for a new slide stop. So, I installed a Cylinder and Slide unit. The Kimber bushing was replaced with an EGW bushing. The Kimber grips were replaced with a set of Gunners. A set of Heinie Straight Eights will soon be replacing the Kimber sights and a MARS armament Gen 2 MSH/magwell with the golfball treatment should be here next week.
Here it is in its current configuration waiting patiently for the Heinie's and the MARS msh:
