Wanted something lighter than my 14.5 with a little more velocity than my 10.5. I also decided to try a lw 12.5 DD barrel after too many stinking Noveske barrels. Had it Cerakoted Graphite Black.

The balance feels unreal - feels like a dang toy. I did an adjustable gas Syrac block, so it should shoot real soft and be REAL handy. Thinking of either throwing on my T1 or trying a mini-ACOG.

I tried both the 9 & 11 NSRs and after trying the 9 on there, I just couldn't get over how the rifle handled. So 9 it is. I should have a range report this week. I'll probably throw a spare A5 setup on it I have, but I try to do a before / after with the A5s.

That is a SWEET build. 5.14lbs unloaded is nothing to scoff at.

How does it shoot?

That looks great. I love light carbines. What size inner tube is on the MOE?

Hopefully have a range report this next week! I'll be real interested on heat / stringing. I'll bring my gloves for sure!

They're actually 3 LaRue FUG pieces straps or rail covers can straps (same thing). Last LaRue thing I ordered I asked if they could throw in a bunch of 'em. They fit perfectly.

Very nice rifle but I still see many ways to shave weight off.

Very nice.
It's amazing how much of a difference several ounces make, especially when taken from the far end of the gun.

Who's muzzle brake is that? What other things could be done to reduce weight? More of a curiosity but I'm interested in making a lightweight build and this seems to be a really good place to start? Is there any point to using a cavalry arms lower or a polymer lower?

I think the scale says 5 pounds 14.2 ounces so that's about 5.9 pounds. Still pretty light at under 6 pounds.

What's the ID of that rail? Could you stuff a suppressor under it?
