Is anyone on here familiar with the Anderson brand? From what I've researched, they're fairly new to the market. It's a good look'in gun for the price but I've never heard much about the name.

Junk.

Read this thread, in particular the second half: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/520530_Anderson_Manufacturing.html

The VP of their company was on ARFCOM pretending to be a customer claiming that Anderson AR's are the best thing since sliced bread and that the US Department of Defense has made Anderson AR15's their new "mil-spec", etc. Seriously - no shit.

Their business practices are despicable and their products are shoddy at best. Avoid at all costs my friend.

Wow - Thanks for the heads up. I checked out the link...that's sad to say the least.

OP, buy one of the half a dozen good name ARs everyone in the know seems to have around here, learn it and experiment on your next AR.

Did anyone ever figure out if they were making the COLT 6900 or was that a filthy rumor I should never mention again?

The day that Anderson ever makes anything for Colt, stand by with a large, burlap sack.

You'll need it to catch the monkeys that are sure to come flying out of my ass.

Relax man, there was speculation in a thread here that COLT out sourced the rifle to someone in Kentucky, Anderson being a possibility. I was just asking. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=118258&page=6

I have purchased a lower then learned of the company. Not to proud of that but hell i think it work once it is pieced together. I know the lower is a hunk of metal with dimensions and mine are correct, other people have gave reviews after they bought their lowers used them with various set ups and had no problems. i have yet to piece it together and try it out. I just have way to much school work and other stuff to do.

If you can find a Colt/BCM/DD at a reasonable price, why buy anything else? Unless you're looking for a sharpshooter, SBR, dedicated suppressed gun, or some other niche rifle - for most every shooter a standard out of the box Colt 6920 or equivalent AR is going to be more than enough gun.
