Just a couple of items to give my M&P15A a bit of a face-lift.

Rationale for changes:
(1) factory-supplied buttstock had an annoying wobble,
(2) needed a trap-door pistol grip to store recently acquired back-up parts, and
(3) liked and miss the polymer mags I used to have for my Bulgarian AK's.

The goodies.

The gun before......

I admit to being an avowed minimalist, and wanted -- still want -- to keep this gun as plain-jane as possible. Experience suggests improvements to all things though, which I think these components do bring to the M&P while still remaining pretty basic. The already very comfortable gun is now even more so, with the slightly concave bearing surface to the buttstock, and the slightly more vertical cant to the pistol grip.

At this point, I see this gun as pretty much a finished project. So what could be next......possibly another of those Bulgarian AK's ???

same here... your upgrades look great. I may have to check out the magpul grip and see how it feels.

.....I may have to check out the magpul grip and see how it feels.

It has different sized interchangeable front and back straps (not pictured here) to optimize fit. In addition to the more vertical cant, it has a bit of a swell to act as a thumb rest, which along with the better fit and textured surface really helps to support the gun horizontally one-handed for reloads. I bought it mostly for the trap door and wasn't expecting this improvement in handling.
