A couple of my friends from my gym are fighting in Las Vegas for their first pro fights, so I am going to go probably. Not forsure yet.

I,however, do not pass up the opportunity to go shooting in Nevada. :D

I have only been to American Shooters which is a nice indoor range.

How is the Clark County shooting range? I understand its outdoors and can go up to 200 yards.

What else is there to know? I have searched and for whatever reason cannot come up with that much info on it. Is it standing, or sitting, or both? Rapid fire, multiple targets at distance to shoot, or only one for your chosen distance?

It has good reviews on Yelp. Any of you guys been there?

Thanks.

The Clark County Shooting complex is a very nice facility. Yes, you can shoot out to 200 yards and that can be done from prone, sitting, or standing. I don't go there very often, but my father does. He meets up on Fridays with a bunch of other retired guys to shoot Garands and then they all go out for drinks at some bar near Nellis. I think they spend more time smoking cigars and talking than actually shooting though.

The only thing about it is that it can get pretty crowded on weekends or when they have any competitions. The night shooting is also pretty crowded but can be fun. The details are here for their schedule: http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/Depts/parks/Pages/clark-county-shooting-park.aspx

My preference is either Boulder City or just BLM land when I am in town. I have a house on the southern end of town, so that is the easiest option for me. Here's a Google map showing where you can and can't shoot:

As a temporary refugee from the PRK, you will appreciate the freedom and you can ditch all the compliant bs and shoot your guns as God and Gene Stoner intended. I go back and forth between Las Vegas and San Diego for work, so I know I appreciate re-entering America every time I see Whiskey Pete's.

Thanks for the info!

I may attempt to find the BLM land if not I will go to Clark County Shooting range on the Sunday of my trip.

Anyone else have information on this place?

I think I will be going Friday morning some time before my friends get there and are done with their weigh-in's.

Also, can you shoot at multiple distances at once? Or is it a set distance, such as 50 or 200 yard targets?

I am not sure if I can find BLM land.
