So I was on the way home from the range the other day and saw this. I had to share and see if you guys find this as stupid/funny as I do. Seen of few of these over the years but this one takes the trophy as the worst.

Well, at least it's clean. But, I am a bit disappointed with the lack of curb feelers and fuzzy dash cover.

There's a Chevy Caprice in my AO that's a filthy, rusted-out shitbox with about $4k worth of gigantic rims and low-profile tires on it.

"Donks" are pretty common in south florida. they usually have stoopid paintjobs involving Hennessey labels, Skittles, etc....They seem to ride like crap, too!

Its pretty weird to be next to one in traffic and it sits higher than my F150.

I saw those all the time in Sacramento.

Although I am a car guy at heart I just don't understand the logic behind these things. I wish I would have taken a picture of the inside because the dash was wrapped(possibly painted)to match the paisley bandana exterior. The dude driving was straight out of a bad rap video complete with do-rag and gold chains. The most annoying thing to me though was the bass coming from the thing. I don't know how people can enjoy that let alone put up with it. I'm all for having a nice stereo and all but I don't feel the need to have an entire city block feel the bass. What kind of long term damage are they causing to their hearing. Yikes.

Come to the south. I see at least 40 or 50 a day. Never saw one until I moved here. Oh- and mopeds. Yeah. Unreal.

Ye gads is that a gauge pod on the passenger's A pillar? Surprised it's not done up in McDonald's/candy/soda logos like a lot are.

Common regional fad. Really no different than the jacked up muddy azz trucks common here in the South. Different strokes for different folks.

Some people laugh at us because we like guns and invest so much money and time into them.

Oh my God, I didn't even notice that.

Maybe, but the lifted 4x4 truck is lifted for a reason - ground clearance off road and in the mud or swamps.

The lifted Impala serves little purpose...except looking ugly and causing white people to point and laugh at intersections.

Seriously most lift jobs never even see grass let alone mud. They do however cause some people to stare at intersections and laugh at $1500 worth of tires getting ground away riding on road rather than off road which is what they are made for. See what I mean.....different strokes for different folks. What may look cool to you may look silly to someone else. Doesn't make either wrong or right....just mean we all have different likes and dislikes. Some folks laugh at the guys with saggy pants on while the saggy pants guys are laughing at the guys wearing tight nut cutters and cowboy boots. Different strokes for different folks.

LOL. I hate those stupid things as well. Especially when you know that thing hasn't been anywhere near the rocks and dirt and mud.

No matter my feelings. To each his own. I'd much rather people spend their time and money on those things than ****ing up.

Not everyone lifts their 4x4 pickup to the crazy heights.

I have a 3" lift on my Tundra but mostly so I could fit slightly larger tires and level the thing out.

Some of us DO use our 4wd feature but yeah...many never do. I fail to see why anyone wants to lift it or even own a 4WD if you are never going to use it.

The lifted cars still look silly...and so do most of the people I see driving those things. Straight out of a bad rap video. LOL

To the point I am making I am sure some of those folks would probably say the same about you ;) Your normal isn't the standard that all are judged by.

I asked a guy driving one of these why he had M&M's all over it...and I quote "It's a candy paint job" I thanked him and walked away.

So I had to perform a Google image search for donk box bubble cars . . . I cannot recall when I've seen dumber shit. I swear I'm not from this planet, it's just all a cruel mean joke the others played on me by dropping me off here at birth. :suicide:

Another good reason to live in Alaska. Snow eats those things alive. Yes, we have stupid vehicles every once in a while, but they rarely last through the first winter.

By far the best one I have seen was a thugged out white boy in one painted up white with Saltine Cracker logo's all over it. I nearly ran into a ditch laughing at that one.

Locally we have logo Donks to cover every soda, candy/snack, fast food restaurant, cigarette/cigar, and booze of choice. There is one in the town I grew up in painted up purple with Playboy Bunny stuff all over it driven by a local welfare queen who is also an aspiring small time porn actress. She has a huge add painted on the back shout'n out what she does and how to contact her for hire.

Any of yall who've been to Augusta or Ft Gordon will recognize this area. Unfortunately in my area, a lot of those who have these cars drive them like the road is a closed course track for them. What is funny is in this video they pass a gas station that was robbed a few weeks back while I was in Disgusta working. I was passing by when LE responded heavy. Bad area as is a lot of that town.

This is very typical behavior in my area. Go some place like a gas station & park in ways to basically shut it down from others using it.

Whatever you do, don't hang out around Ft. Campbell Kentucky. No shit, probably every 50th car is just like that one, or worse. It's not soldiers doing it, but local dumbasses.

I see it all the time as I work in an industrial area with a large section 8 housing community up the street. Piece of shit $500 cars with $5000 worth of "bling-bling" wheels, tires, & a lift kit to fit them. A stereo system which makes every part of the car rattle to the tune of "Bitches, hoe's, diamonds, & money". Then some ghetto ass looking thug (who looks like the alien/monster in Predator) with his seat reclined to the floor steering the jalopy & driving like a complete retard.

If only I could purchase a hunting tag for these varmints...

But since those are not available, I turn up the tuner on my diesel & fog them with black smoke at stop lights. It's fun.

The first time I saw this phenomenon was when I drove out to Indianapolis for the 2005 Grand Prix.

I was as confused as anyone. I have been in the car "scene" since 2001 when I bought my TA and began Drag Racing. I have never added anything to the car that does not benefit at the track. I understand why people lower/tint/instal huge stereos and so on, but this I just don't get.

It could be worse. It could be partially taxpayer funded (they claim donations and volunteers built it, but someone has to drive it, fuel it, insure it, and maintain it; and who pays for that ):

Just in time for cinco de mayo "community outreach". The Chief approves:

Chief Lansdowne was on the San Diego news in the next story complaining about budget cuts and having no money for overtime, plus losing officers to other agencies due to low pay. Given these problems, you would think that an SDPD lowrider wouldn't be very high on the priority list. Easy way to fix the budget - stop paying for stupid shit.
