I had the barrel cut to 18 inches and this caused me some troubles with cycling because it did not have enough gas. I had ADCO open the gas port and it worked better but still not 100% so I ended up making a low mass buffer by taking apart 3 rifle buffers removing the heavy weights and only leaving the lighter ones in and now its 100%. Shoots very well and seems to have gotten better as I shoot it. The average with the Sierra load has been .75 so far . (22.3 grains of N135, 77 grain Sierra SMK with cannular Federal match primers Lake City brass avg velocity 2700 fps)
I don't like the reticle in the scope that much as its very fine and hard to see on some backgrounds. I will be getting a different scope when funding allows.

wow, very nice! and great shooting! you shoot those groups using the bipod and monopod? (i had a monopod on my old SR-25 with PRS stock. had to switch to bags when i wanted to hit anything. my cheek weld would cause the gun to cant way too much with the monopod. it drove me nuts. )

so that's not a factory larue upper? you actually cut a krieger down and opened up the gas port? and modified a buffer? geez dude :)

i really like the look and weight of that rail.

That's a phenomenal 10 shot group and from a gas gun, no less! Hat's off.

Popo.....Question....My father actually started putting his Larue Stealth upper and lower together this morning.

He's having a HELL of a time getting the Troy Alpha rail to index properly on the upper.

Something about instructions stating to rotate 5 degrees or something???

He basically can't get it aligned properly....I mentioned to him that the upper may not be milspec and/or the anti rotation tabs may be giving him a fit.

Any advice?

PS - Yes, I tried the little yellow button up top but came back empty.

Thanks to all...

You put it on rotated 5 degree and then lock it into place. It's in the instructions.

yeah, i know it.

mentioned above.

not sure why he's having a hard time.

he's a construction superintendent and highly mechanically inclined.

not sure if there was a trick...oh well.

I have to confess I used bags for those groups.

The rail can be a tight fit on some uppers. I have this rail on a few different guns.

Very nice...bet it feels good to have something you built up come out so well!

I'm in the middle of my first build, a precision rifle, and I hope I can get results like yours, nicely done.
