It was the Syrian gov't apparently. They are trying to gain international sympathy according to some..

One step closer to economic collapse, martial law here, more lost limbs and lives and WW III - actually WW IV - but who's counting.

Don't know Arabic, but I did notice the Allu Akbar (God is Great) being said in the background. Pretty crazy to be hearing Islamist Jihadis giving thanks to the Israelis.

Israel has a complex but unique opportunity here. They can deliver a blow to Iran while actually appeasing AQ to an extent, this while they also make themselves look far more assertive than the now all talk but no action US.

I think that phrase has different meanings depending on how it is said. I suppose it is like: Oh Shit - I just won the lottery vs Oh Shit - I'm standing on an IED...

The jihadists would be those infidels who are fighting to destroy Syria.

And it's no different than "Oh, my Lord".

Are we *really* having this discussion??

What were the air bursts? They were well above the horizon.

It's unfortunate that we find ourselves at odds with Russia again over the Middle East. You'd think we'd learn.

what do you think the chances are that the pilots flying these things will be Persian? I cant imagine that there are many "professional" soldiers left, the joint has got to be fairly de-ba'ath-tized.

Russia can expect increased violence in their soft spots: Chechnya, Dagestan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and whatever traction the West can get in the Ukraine.

The neocon led West has exhibited stupidity for some time now.

It appears a Caliphate is trying to form... aka Ottoman Empire
It will be interesting to see how Saudi Arabia negotiates this continuing trend & what it has learned from the past..

Yeah, since Russia doesn't learn, one would hope we might.
