I have just converted to a Glock 23 gen4 from my XD. I currently have the factory plastic sights and want to replace them with a real set of sights. I would like a set with a tritium front/plain rear. I would also like them to be point of aim point of impact. Not a big fan of a low hold. I appreciate any help.

Ameriglo has several options. Look at the Hackathorn sights. Red Back One has a great set also branded by 10-8.

These guys can hook you up and you can get a plain black adjustable rear if you need to rezero it.

10-8 Performance is an option to look at.

I appreciate all the help. Going to give 10-8 and Ameriglo a look.

Best bet is to go to a local IDPA/IPSC Match and talk to guys about their sights. I am sure some will demand you shoot their pistols! You need to try them out because it gets expensive buying different sets.

I like Warren Tacticals a lot. For sure my favorite. Also got a set of Trijicon HDs that work well.

Ameriglo's sight calculator is a pretty convenient tool to calculate the correct height front sight for POA/POI. You will need to shoot the pistol with the stock sights at a known distance and then plug in your data.

I have used it with excellent results on 2 G23s and 2 G19s.

I run Dawson adjustable sights on a G35 and they are excellent.

I currently run Heinie sights on my defensive Glock and they are excellent sights.

I'm going through this decision as well. I went from hackathorns (not as precise at distance) to warrens and now to RB1's. They may look similar to 10-8's but I think the human eye (my eye) is better suited to the square cornered sights rather than u-shaped. Anyone know where I can get RB1's right now?

I would also like to give a nod to Ameriglo.

I have several Glocks, and have a fair amount of time behind some others. I have used the factory Glock night sights, Ameriglo Operator, Meprolight, and Trijicon. My preference is for Ameriglo Operator, specifically. Ameriglo has a lot of options.

Trijicon hd have a bright colored front with tritium in the middle and the rear has 2 tritiums but theres no outline so it looks like a black serrated rear but at ninight u get 3 tritium sight picture

I think I am going to try one of the Henning "BattleHook" rear sights on my G17. I have not yet decided on a front sight to use with it.
http://henningshop.com/shop/battlehook.html

Notch widths available are: .150" or 180".
Heights are : 6.5 (.256") which is the typical factory height for Glock 17, 22
6.9 (.270") which is the 'other' factory
7.3 (.290") which is also a factory height but used when you want a taller front sight with it.

I am using the Ameriglo Hackathorn front sight with orange insert, and the 10-8 rear .156 U-notch. Very pleased with the setup on my Glock 17.
