Ok, I have a lot of knowledge on bolt actions and AK's, as that's what I've shot and worked on the majority of my life.
Just two years ago I got into the M4 platform, and this year bought my first M4 (PSA 16" M4).
I've been reading up on barrels, and even searched this forum with the search button but I can't seem to find the difference between a cold hammer forged barrel and the chrome moly vanadium barrel types. As in what will last longer, what's the most accurate (if that even plays a factor), what's more dependable, etc.
I ask this because I'm building a rifle with a BCM 16" upper and a PSA lower to run HARD this summer for a few carbine courses I'm signed up for, and for my own personal protection.
