I'm looking for a lighter barrel than my current 34oz one. Preferably a 14.5 that I can get my yhm phantom qd mount pinned to. I use this rifle for general plinking and a truck gun on the ranch. I dont do any sort of competition or mag dumps with it. Does need to be a 7 twist so I can sling the 77gr stuff. Im not too concerned with price, just want to get the right one and be done.

Im wondering if with a 14" fortis rev that I've read is really closer to 14.75 if itll clear my can with a 14.5" barrel. The yhm qd mount is a pretty big chunk of metal though, its going to be close I just dont need the extra barrel fps wise or length due to the can and also the added 1.5" of barrel weight.

My BCM 16" LW barrel has been great so far.

So I recommend them look at these:

Sorry I do not know the answer to your other question.

Spikes doesn't get a lot of love around here, but they do sell a nice hammer forged middy FN barrel in 14.5 that should meet your needs. There are lots of options, but I think this barrel would likely be an excellent choice.

I run this barrel in the 16" version. It's been great so far. Very accurate and the weight is just about 'right' as it falls somewhere in between a lightweight pencil profile and a Gov. profile barrel. I lucked out and picked one up when they were offering the $150 introductory price.

A good choice IMO.

I just ordered a BCM 14.5" LW profile to go on a lightweight build. With a lo-pro gas block, Troy 11 inch tube, and iron sights I hope to get this build mid-5 pounds or so.

FWIW, at $230 you cannot beat a BCM barrel. And they are in stock right now.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think Im going to get the rev 14" in and do some measuring to see if a 14.5" barrel will clear my can.

I really like my Daniel Defense 14.5 Light Weight bbl. w/ a BC 1.5 on it

How does a lightweight 14.5 or even say a 11.5 handle the weight of a suppressor? Any accuracy or other problems?

Running a DD CHF 14.5 Mid-Length Gas barrel on mine.

Light and accurate.

There's a youtube video review of the above being tested for accuracy at distance, both cold barrel and heated. Impressive results.

I'm sure BCM and most certainly Noveske will perform the same.
