This doesn't seem like a fair comparison. The X300 is a 2xCR123 powered light while the M300 runs on only a single CR123.

The X300 Ultra is rated at literally 2.5 times the output (500 lumens vs 200) and even has a tad longer runtime.

My thought is that the superior output and runtime of the X300 is just too much to pass up. You could even hang it off of a pistol if you wanted to.
