Yep, thats pretty bad-ass.
In 2004 Paul Howe told our class that he was testing one of those with excellent results against coyotes and wild boars.
Yeah seeing it made me want to go buy one but I dont want to stock another caliber that may become scare.

I bagged a 200lb 8pt buck in 2004 with the one I owned at the time.

I happened to be at Alexander Arms' booth during SHOT Show 2007 when the guy from Matrix featured in the episode, Mike Peck, stopped by out of the blue and started telling Bill Alexander the interesting uses he had for the .50 Beowulf when he was in the military.
With the current conflicts going on, it's probably not my place to describe operational details of the uses they have for the .50 Beowulf, but they are definitely innovative — and gutsy!

What is the kick like on the Beowulf? Is this equivalent to a 12 gauge or is it even more impactful?

They say it's like a 20 ga slug from a pump gun, and having fired my Beowulf next to a 20ga slug in a pump gun I would say that is accurate.
