Everyone knows that Gen 1 isnt the best as far as night vision goes, I actually got a chance to shoot through a starlight scope after I reported to the 502nd infantry in the mid 90s as part of a night vision training, we werent using them anymore but they wanted to show the progression and what we might see other countries using. Anyway, my question is does gen 1 flare when using modern taclights with IR defusers?
I was thinking about getting a cheap gen 1 monocle and goggle mount and enhancing its abilities with my surefire with an IR defuser. I have read some conflicting stuff about frequency ranges etc so I want to know if anyone has tried it and what the results were.
