I'll let the experts decide. My brother has 5 MUR 1A's he bought as stripped uppers here & there. Notices one is different from the others & thinks" shit the Chinese are at it again". Then tells me the one MUR resembles the Noveske marked MUR's because it has the anti rotation hole by the gas tube but it's not marked with the Noveske cross. What says the experts?

The Noveske one wouldn't be marked unless it was assembled by them.

I had a MUR that didn't have the gay lettering on the left side, and only a small Vltor under the ejection port. It was bought directly from Vltor and was part of a contract overrun. It looked exactly like the Noveske ones, less the Maltese cross.

I would reason the anti-rotation hole is drilled by Vltor, and done prior to anodizing. The logos would be done after and depending on where they were sent. Quite a few vendors use them.

The Vltor MURs do not have the anti-rotational hole. Only Noveske has them.
