Here's something I've never read about or understood really.

What is the difference between an F marked FSB and an FSB found on an RRA?

I'm looking to start an LMT build and being in NY I'll need to either grind the F marked FSB to remove the bayo lug or get a post ban FSB from Del-Ton.

Thanks guys for tolerating my noob question.

The F marked base is the correct heith for a flat top A3. If you have a non F FSB you can buy a post to make it work from Bushy.

Can I use a .04" taller sight post? I'm looking for F marked post ban FSBs and am having problems finding them.

Uninstalled F FSBs??

I don't want to make any assumtions about your capabilities, but....

The FSB is by no means a drop in part.

Thanks for your concern. I'm sending it out to ADCO for an LMT build in which I need to have a brake pinned and the FSB swapped.

As far as my capabilities...I can handle an FSB swap...it's 3 pins and removing the muzzle device. Hardly rocket science but your concern is heartwarming.

Well removing and installing the same FSB isn't too difficult as I understand it. But exchanging an FSB is more tricky. The FSB pin hole locations are unique to the weapon. And if your existing pins are tapered, it would be even more complex of a fit. In other words... alignment of the holes on the FSB, and fact that the holes in the FSB aren't the same diameter on both sides.

Del-Ton offers a similar post...but rather than .040" longer, they are .030" longer.
