Im going to get a set of HD's for my Shield but had a question for those that have them.

Is the POI/POA good/the same?

I see OpticsPlanet offers individual front sights in different heights, but have no idea if taller or shorter is needed.

If not Im just going to order the set from Grant

I have the Trijicon HD's on my shield and love them. As far as POI/POA I didn't really notice any difference from the factory sites. Its a shame you aren't closer, I live in the York area, you would be more then welcome to shoot mine to see what you thought of them before spending the money.

I did -- about 8 months ago. Did it at home with a generic sight pusher and a regular set of punches. I've heard a nylon dowel rod is a great help with sights as well:

PS: the Trijicon HDs are awesome!

Just wanted to add I bought them at Botach for $125.95 shipped. They are the regular S&W M&P series sights. Yes they are a bit too wide for the Shield...if you cared more than I did you could reduce the overall width of the rear sight assembly by 1mm or so prior to install. For me its a everyday carry CCW piece so I don't care too much what it looks like.
