Wounder Warriors 100K with Prez Bush

Today starts the 2nd day of the 100K - Friggin awesome.


Each spring, approximately 20 servicemen and women wounded in the global war on terror join President George W. Bush for a 100-kilometer mountain bike ride.

Part of the Bush Institute's Military Service Initiative, the W100K highlights the bravery and sacrifice of warriors and recognizes organizations that support America’s heroes. The 3rd Annual Bush Center Warrior 100K mountain bike ride takes place May 23-25, 2013, near Waco, Texas.

As a serious mt. biker (...and one that has ridden Palo Duro many times) I applaud Dubya for this.

He had his faults but overall...Bush was a good man at heart.

I'm not a fan of republicans, not a fan of the Bush presidency, but I get sick and tired of people saying that Reps and Dems are "the same." GWB is so much a better man than what we have now that he can't even see the obamamassiah in the rear view mirror.

I don't see Obama ever doing this, except maybe to spend 100K minutes doing a drone flight for charity.

W had his heart for America to keep it safe while juggling to keep our rights as unmolested as possible. Can't say the same for the KOTUS.
