A few months ago I decided to get a couple things done to my Glocks as I wanted to try out the world of the RMR. I sent it to Will Wingfield of Fire 4 Effect in El Paso TX and had him work up some of his magic.
The 19 had front slide serrations added, trigger polish job, extended slide stop, mag release and grip plug installed. The trigger is noticeably smoother and a little less heavy than stock.
The 17 had the RMR treatment, a McGlock trigger (developed by John McNally), extended slide stop and mag release, grip plug and suppressor sights installed. The McGlock trigger is awesome. The reset is MUCH shorter, and the break much more crisp. The flat, larger contact surface means it's more forgiving to jerking.
Both were stippled with finger grooves intact (I"m one of the few they actually fit) then sent to Legion to be cerakoted in dark bronze. The stippling is not only pleasing to the eye but grips like hell. I would call it an aggressive stipple. The Cerakote is nice and even.
Total turn around time was just under 7 weeks. I think it came out great! There are some great stipplers' out there and many good machinists, but Will is a jack of all trade. Don't hesitate to give him your business!
