Looks like redbackone has some competition

I like how there are no sharp edges. All of the edges looks radiused and smooth.

They do look extremely nice and well machined, I am interested in seeing the front now though.
Looks like LAV took a cue from Warren and trimmed the sides of their rear sight. I have the Warrens and love them. Looking forward to playing with one of these.

Agreed. I have Warrens on my 17 and standard trijicon on my 26. I like the Warrens much better. I wonder when the Vickers will be available?

I hope they offer a brass bead front sight option.
I wonder if they are actually going to make some kind of set. This is from LAV in the SME section referring to aftermarket sights.
I run a Trijicon HD yellow/green front sight with a Warren rear currently - that is about to change however because I am finalizing a Glock rear sight with Wilson Combat ; it will be a Vickers Glock item and is an adaptation of their excellent Battlesight as used on the 1911's they sell
I like the Battlesight a lot and approached them about doing a version for the Glock ; we have been working on it for awhile and it is almost ready
When that hits I will switch to that sight on all my Glock's but retain the Trijicon HD front sight
Hope this helps

From the OP's link, LAV states, "We are looking at different front sight options as well as a plain black rear". I took that to mean a set, but from the info you posted, perhaps not.

Whats the point of trimming the edges??
Thanks
Definitely interested. Running standard Glock nite sights now on my G19 and very well could be swapping with LAV's when they come out.
Rear Sight
- Melonite treated Carbon Steel
- Recessed U Notched
- Single dim tritium vial
Front Sight
- Bright tritium front vial
^ Am I missing anything here?

Thanks
IWB/CCW treatment and possibly something to do with "pulling" your eyes to the notch/front post.
My guess at least...
Looks like a great sight option for Glocks. Congrats LAV.

Wow...am I glad I dragged my feet, getting replacement sights on my 3rd gen G19.
Now...what front sight would be best with that rear? Will there be a Vickers front sight, too?
-brickboy240
There are a lot of very good things about that sight, like the fact that you could probably park a truck on it and not lose your zero.
LAV, if you're reading this, can we also get front sights in various heights for guns that don't regulate with stock sight sets? I've got one like that...
Thanks,
Okie John

The fact that LAV seems to indicate that this rear sight will be compatable with the Trijicon HD front sight has me very interested. I am running the HD's on my Glock 23 right now and love them. I will probably pick one of these up when they become available. Great idea Wilson and LAV.
Looking forward to getting a set...got RB1's which I love but these intrigue me.

Very nice, can't wait to order a set.

That... could make me switch away from 10-8s if done correctly.
What's ironic is that the PPQ needs EXACTLY this sight, which is only a slightly different dovetail and slightly different front sight post dimensions. It's so damn close - but I'm not holding my breathe :(
Interesting. I'm curious as to the rear notch size.

Looks great! What is the width of the rear notch going to be?

Another thing I like about this sight, is how it shaped to assist with malfunction clearance. I'm seeing a lot of people either trying to reload their own pistol ammo, and doing a crappy job; or experiencing lower QC with factory stuff.
Maybe it's first time shooters. But the last three range trips, I clearly remember more people trying to clear malfunctions. Could be shitty mags, could be craptastic ammo.
I'd wager a cold beer that instructors are seeing more ammo-related issues in their classes as well.

Can you elaborate how malfunction clearances have to do with the rear sight? Maybe I'm missing it in your post.

Pretty sure he means one handed malfunction clearance. It's got a nice big ledge to catch a belt, shoe, ect. to cycle from.

Oh ok, that's what I thought. he talked about seeing people trying to clear malfunctions then I was thinking, why were all those people doing one handed malfunction clearing?
I wonder if there will be a square notch option on the rear sight for the square notch crowd? I believe it would make good business sense (sell more sights) and add little or nothing to the manufacturing cost . While its not that big a deal for me, if given a choice I still prefer a square notch. It could also be changed into a square notch without much trouble, if one so desired.

Yep, that is exactly what I meant. I should have added that in my post, it was late at night, and I'd spent all day herding cats.
Thanks for the assist, Ironman8! :D

Not a problem buddy. I see you have yourself a new title ;)
Also, got some things in the works with Keenan if you're interested...
Any update on a launch date? I am interested big time.

Thats what im wondering as well.
interesting indeed... more pics needed
Looks like it'll be a perfect match for an xs big dot front
Has this project stalled? I keep checking the Wilson site and no mention of it.

I spoke with LAV about these sights last month. No delivery date.
Mike
I would prefer the straight as opposed to curved option if they made it. Any idea on a price point for these?

Nice. Any confirmation of the rear notch width at 0.146"?

Yeah I posted about how excited I am for these on his facebook post. I found out during a 200-rd range trip yesterday with my G23, that with the trijicon white 3-dot night sights I was having a very hard time focusing on the front sight. I currently have the red Trijicon Hd's on order for my 17 to try and remedy this, it's the 1st time this has happened to me.

Maybe these new Vickers Sights will debut at Shot Show 2014? :D
I know that I'll be installing a pair on my Gen4 G19 as soon as they're available!
Can the Vickers rear sight be combined with the Trijicon HD front?
