Hey guys, I'm looking for a simple, low to medium cost forearm for my Colt 6920. Right now it's bone stock from the factory. There's two reasons I want to change it: 1. I want to be able to add a forearm vertical grip, and 2. I want to add some sort of flashlight/laser combo to the bottom (maybe side) of the forearm. I'm new to M4 rifles, and I've looked at page after page of endless products. I don't know what is good and will hold up, and what products won't. I never was a big fan of all the quad grips and accessories that can go with them. And I really don't want to add much more weight. I just want something that looks decent, functional, and isn't too costly as I'm on a fixed income, and I treasure word of mouth and referrals over marketing ploys like gold. Here's a pic of what I have so far.

Carbine length Magpul MOE Hand Guards (http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG440/184) would be my pick paired with an MVG - Magpul MOE Vertical Grip (http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG413/61) and MOE Scout Mount (http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG403/104) or MOE Illumination Kit (http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG402/104).

Man, you hit the nail right on the head for what I'm looking for. Do you have to remove the front site to remove the old stock, and add the new forearm? If so, how much trouble is it to line the front site back in? Thanks for the help.

When I saw the title my first impression was to recommend you the KAC RAS Blemish.

But after reading the MOE will probably do you just fine.

Front sight stays. Pull back on the delta ring & remove the HG in two pieces. Install the vert grip & illumination kit on the MOE first then reverse the order to reinstall.

Negative, you put these on the same way you do standard M4 hand guards.

EDIT: Look like Ryno beat me to it.

I just found a Youtube video on hand-guard removal. Thanks again for the reply.

Installation is pretty forward.

You won't even need special tools.

I personaly like the Midwest Industries two piece drop in Gen 2 carbine length quad rails, with the magpul ladder rail covers. That set up gives many options for your accessories and also four diferent places for a quick disconnect sling swivel. I think it is around $120. all aluminium. That is what I use, works great for me. Hope that helps.
