I thought I would throw up a few pictures of a new project I finally finished up. I have been doing a ton of grip chops on 17 down to 19's leaving the backstrap flush with the magazine base. I very much like the way the grip feels on them, but I prefer the 19/23 slide size. So I decided to try out something on my 19 to see if I could achieve the same result. The end result is a 19/23 grip with the backstrap extended flush with the magazine base pad. Thinking calling it the grip "E" = mod extension

I will offer this modification as soon as I can work out the details on it. It took me a while to get it done as I was only working on it a little bit at a time. As soon as I iron out the details I will post it up on the website.

Here are the pictures or it didn't happen thing....

Nice work as always Lane! I'm fine with the standard Glock 9mm girth, but if I needed a reduction, I would definitely opt for this.

Lane,

That is an outstanding job.

Wow!

I'm generally in the camp of people who think that stipples and reductions look horrible and unnecessary, but that looks very nice!!

Very nice!
I did a grip chop on my 17 a year ago, recently I did a grip reduction on it.
I really like what you've done around the mag release.

You've given me inspiration!

That's interesting. How do you perceive the affect if any on the speed reload?

Nicely done Lane! I assume you're adding material on the bottom of the 19 frame to achieve that result....

I was actually considering having you do this on the two 17's you chopped for me. I opted against it because I run Vicker's base pads exclusively and I didn't want interference.

While this mod isn't for me, it's great to see you continuing to expand and grow you services and skill set. Kudos my friend!

Shooting M&P's I guess I just don't look at Glocks enough to know them like the back of my hand. Any chance you could show some pictures of this side by side with a standard 19 so it would be easier to see the grip differences? Looks like quality workmanship though.

That's boss. If I were to have a job done on mine, you'd get my money.

Great work. It looks like it came from the factory like that.

It seems to have helped a bit since there is a ledge for the magazine to land on.

Here are a few side by sides with a standard 19 with a reduction.

I like that alot. But it looks like this type of work is rare on an fde g19. :( Should have bought a black one.

That is really nice!

I am thinking about bringing my 3rd gen G19 to you for a similar treatment.

Let us all know what the price would be...it looks fantastic!

I used to own a G19 that had been reduced and left at its normal length and a G23 that had a Robar grip reduction and this sort of step. I frequently picked up a blood blister on the heel of my right hand when reloading the G19 at speed because it got pinched between the frame and the magazine baseplate. That never happened with the G23.

I later cut a G17 to take G19 mags, but I left the grip with this same sort of step-off, which Nyeti calls the "HK cut". It's my all-time favorite Glock configuration. It splits the difference between the G17 and the G19 grip length, and I don't get those blisters.

It's good to see another custom shop offering it commercially.

Closest I've come to seeing a Glock that I might actually like to own.

Very nice.

Thank you for sharing! I usually do not like stipple jobs or weapon mods like this but you made it functional and it really makes the gun look great.
