I have a strange combination 870. Does anyone have any info on these Thanks?
One the left side of the receiver is Remington 870 Magnum; on the right side it says Wingmaster. It has an 18in barrel.
The guy that I was talking to about the sale/barter was almost calling me a liar and that this combination is impossible. Any info would great.

Some 870s are magnum- shoot 3"
some lack the magnum stamp- shoot 2 3/4
there wont be an 870 wingmaster supermag

I own an 870 Magnum Wingmaster. They are not uncommon.

So do I. But the others do not have wingmaster in the right side of the receiver.

Wingmaster is roll stamped onto the left side of the receiver on my shotgun. I haven't seen an 870 with anything stamped onto the right side of the receiver, but that doesn't mean Remington didn't make 1 million of them that way.

Have any pictures that you can post?

My laptop is down. Cannot figure out how to do it with my cell. I can send it as an email or text. After that my skills are over .LOL

I am actually about to buy one of these when the next paycheck comes in.

I played with it at the FFL LGS where it's being held for me. The one I am buying does not have any rollmarks on the right side of the receiver where the port is---only on the left. I don't think I've ever seen any 870 with right side rollmarks. Are those new or something? ETA--I just noticed that there are rollmarks on Costa's gun in "Dynamic Shotgun." But it sure as hell doesn't look like an old Wingmaster.

The receiver of the shotgun I am buying looks like this:

1911vm,

This is a new one for me. I haven't seen an 870 marked on the right side of the receiver like that. I noticed that the finish on the barrel appears darker than on the receiver. It looks like a police shotgun. Anything is possible with a government contract shotgun.

They may not know that they work for Remington. Once I called Mossberg, and the guy I talked to told that their law enforcement shot guns were full auto so I wondered if I got a wrong number.

I have a left handed 870. It is stamped wingmaster on the right side, and Remington 870 Magnum on the left. It came with a 20 inch rifle sight barrell

That's interesting. But mine ejects to the right. I am kind of anxious about reply from Remington.
They emailed me back and asked for the ser # so It's sounds like they are not sure either. Lol

I have one.
Left side = "Remington 870 MAGNUM" and a serial number beginning in W and ending in M.
Right side = "WINGMASTER"

I guess I never considered it to be odd.

Thanks for posting that. That is exactly what I got for some reason I could not attach pic. Except it has an 18in barrel. I was told by some Remington Gurus that they made that configuration for LE I am also assuming mine has been re-finished . It is not blued
So the LE configuration is the special part.
Also it being Wingmaster Magnum is a cool factor. Not that many of them around.

Mine came with a 28" VR Remchoke barrel.
