Been looking at the KAC URX 4 offerings, along with the thumb rest for the top rail.

How long does your rail need to be for a true isosceles grip, with the arm fully extended and the hand wrapped around?

Dumb answer.... It is a personal decision we cannot make!! GH

That would all depend on how long your arms are, and what length you prefer on your buttstock. I know this sounds like a smart aleck answer, but it is really the truth.

agree with above but personally, a 9" rail is the shortest I would be able to use with my style. longer is better...

for me (5 ft 11inches) a 10.5 inch rail is barely do-able. I can run 12" rails if i'm not putting my light at 12oclock and my 13.5" rail is the longest i need.

9-13.5" is the answers your gonna get most often on here. Pick up other peoples guns and see how they feel to you.

I'm 6'3" but I can make a midlength MOE work. Longer is better. YMMV

I'm 6' and I can make a 9-inch handguard/rail work if I extend the buttstock out further. I prefer 12".

I'm 6'3" and had a midlength moe... Chopped the FSP and got a 15"... Love it

I prefer nothing shorter than 11", but can make 9" work.

And again its not something we can tell you

Assuming at least 14.5 barrel, I'd select 13 over 10. Assuming 16 barrel, 14.5 is basically the same price. No major advantage in the 1.5 in but no major downside either.
