There should be an injunkshun against wasting raw materials on 6.8 until after the shortage is over for 12 months. :p

I do believe these are either contract overruns or rounds that did not meet inspection requirements. Federal is running these 6.8 rounds for a Saudi contract.

I agree. We need production shifted to a reasonably priced bonded bullet for the 300 Blackout.

I just couldn't resist.:D
I'm hoping the 300 Useless will be a bloody casualty of the this panic fest.

Why do you dislike the 300? Seems ideally suited for suppressed use as a sub.
I'd like to know the ballistics.
Palmetto doesn't have any warnings so it's possibly spec I. I'm curious if the original ammo for the foreign contract was spec II optimized.
So maybe this was a special run for spec I?

It's another over-hyped cartridge that jumped on the "let's see what other shit we can shove into an M16 magazine" bandwagon. Slow in supersonic loadings and an expensive pistol round in subsonic loadings. It has its uses, but those are within a very tiny niche that the majority of 300 blackout fans are not occupying.
want one? go ahead and have fun. There are just better options (*cough*5.56*cough*). Be prepared for AAC to rip your ass about muzzle energy bull shit if you do anything short of giving the caliber a reach around.
