I'm a pretty big fan of my Nagant and it is getting more trigger time then any rifle I own at the moment (see NYSAFE for reasons why my other rifles are moth balled).

Mine hits like a champ, kicks like a mule, and ammo is under 11 a box. I've been using it to practice long range controlled shots out to about 250 yards.

I have a M38 and it is a handy little carbine. I still see the bolt action and lever action as a useful self defense firearm. The M38 along with the K98k and a Marlin 336 or Winchester 1894 can be effective carbines. I have my AR-15s and AK series but my Milsurp bolts and older milsurp Semi-Autos are also useful.

Here is a group using Soviet surplus at 100yds out of my 91/59 carbine.

The flyer is my fault and yes I shot it off a bench as I wanted to show what the gun could do. I didn't use a rear bag though.

IIRC, that should be 5" across the black.
