Seen a unfired 2nd Generation Glock Model -17L in box with everything its supposed to come with.

Instant Hard On to say the least as it was from a private collection of over 75 Glocks a older gentleman had. From its serial number its from the first 100 17L's imported into the country.

Any Glock Collectors out there have a idea what this Pistol is worth?

What's the asking price? Worth is kind of subjective. I wouldn't give more then five bills for it (not saying I don't want one- they're beautiful pistols). That said, I'm sure it'd sell easy at $700 on GB. Again, very subjective.

Honestly, if you really want it, I don't think $600-$650 would be too outta line on price. The 17L brings a premium and it ain't like you can go out and buy an unfired 2nd gen 17L any 'ol time you want.

There were plenty of first gen 17Ls out in the wild before the 2nd gen came out, so I doubt that it's one of the first 100 in country.

Are you buying for collectors value (Meaning you're never going to shoot it) or are you buying to use it?

I'd say a fair offer would be from 500-750.

Its one of the very first 2nd Generation 17L's in the country and is unfired.

Design changes especially the very first few guns made are more desirable to collectors.

Ah. I see. Glock collectors are a very discriminating crowd.

Those few Very Early Glocks like the first five of a new generation line made then yes we are. Lots of folks said the same thing about S&W revolvers and look at some of the prices collectors are paying for low serial number models.

To each there only I guess.

I picked up a new Gen2 17 (not L) for $375 yesterday from an officer I work with. You don't see many L's for sale.

Several Gen 2's on GB, including one with a 1987 "best in market" sticker on the inside of the box. Most have no bids at as low as $450.00. Might have value for a select few, but it looks like it may take a while to sell to the right individual.

I get your assertion that its rare and unusual. The problem you are going to have is that true or not, most people don't perceive glocks as rare or collectible. The vast majority of folks seem them as tools. If you find such a person, I'm thinking its a 700 dollar pistol. For me, and most of the glock people I know, its worth 500 bucks.
