Question about ladder rail covers

Just picked some rail covers at the PGCA gunshow at Pittsburgh Mills a couple weeks back. What's neat about these covers, as opposed to any others I've ever had is; They are the standard black 7" units in rubberized plastic, but are wider in the ladder "rungs" and fit completely flush across the top of the rail they're installed on. They also fit quite tightly and look and feel really good. Enough so, that I've decided to forego the grip panels on my KAS M5 20" rail set in light of a full application of these nifty covers. Makes for a much slimmer look and feel. Now the issue is: who makes these things. The seller was an Asian fellow with a bunch of NcStar type stuff, and sadly I didn't get his card on this cash sale. A call to Brownell's has gotten me nowhere. Gotta find out where to get more of these awesome covers...somehow! Any thoughts? Thanks!

Ergo Grip makes those I think. I prefer the Chinese rip offs of LaRue clips myself.

I used the Magpul black covers on my rails and they seem to fit very well.

I don't think this is what the OP is asking about. he mentions that the "rungs" fit flush and completely cover the rails. if I understand him right, that would be interesting to see...

In this case, the ladder rungs fill the rail slots very tightly and fully, yet they do NOT project above the rail surface at the top. If you run your finger along the top of the rail with these guys installed, you don't feel the difference at all. It's like one continuous smooth surface. Along the sides, they are just like any other rail covers. The rungs fit so tightly that if you painted the rails with these puppies on, the top portion would be one solid surface. It's a neat look and effect, which I'm hoping to duplicate on several other rail sets, on other weapons.

Doesn't seem like they provide much protection from impacts and heat if they're flush...

I personally prefer something that will protect the rail if at all possible. The KAC panels (modified) and Tango Down work pretty well.

I know the Surefire made rail ladders are pretty low profile. Post a pic and someone here will know for certain.
